The first Canadian international strategic enrolment (ISEM) workshop will be held online on August 27, 2020. With the advent of COVID-19, international mobility, and the higher education landscape will change profoundly.

This first ISEM workshop will enable participants to:

• Have a better understanding of the implications of nascent research relating to COVID-19 and its possible impact on ISEM;
• Assess whether the historical determinants of international student mobility, and the interplay amongst them, still hold true in this new era;
• Better plan how they should adapt their respective institutional strategic enrolment management processes to a rapidly changing and highly competitive environment; and
• Identify strategies to manage risks due to current events; over-reliance on traditional international student mobility; and increased international competition.
